Dreaming

How perfect is this little porcelain egg votive set from Revisions on Etsy?

This is definitely one of the sweetest creations I've seen in some time and I can't stop imagining how lovely it would look on my modest little kitchen table. Perhaps if I hint really hard the hubby will get it for me for Valentine's Day.

Now back to my search for the perfect round tablecloth. Who know it would be so hard to find a cute, affordable round tablecloth? Anthropologie has had a few that caught my eye but they have been beyond what I can spend. Anyone know any great places to look for round tablecloths?

Changes...

I spent Friday and Saturday switching my studio from the spare bedroom into the living room (the hubby and I completely changed around the layout of our apartment so the largest room could become the living room) and painting the walls and trim in the "new" studio.

It basically looks like this:

I was going for a sort of antique-looking (meaning faded and worn) robin's egg blue, but the paint turned out an entirely different color than the swatch I picked out from the store. Not at all a bad thing as I adore this color as well, it just wasn't the exact looking I was going for. This 1950's blue is the color I painted my old bedroom at my mom's house the summer I met the hubby. It's also the color of the Kitchenaid Artisan stand mixer I received for Christmas. And I imagine my studio will end up very Posy-esque as the colors are similar and I love her style!

Hearts

I just passed 100 hearts today in the shop!

It feels great.

Thanks for all the love and support!

SALE!

I'm currently having a wee sale in the shop.

Four pairs of sterling silver stud earrings are on sale for $12 each:

Beige Rose stud earrings

Cute in Coral Hibiscus stud earrings

Blue Flower Stud Earrings

Grecian Bust Cameo stud earrings

I haven't decided exactly how long these earrings will be on sale.
It will only be for a limited time!

I am thinking about doing a sale weekly with one or more items on sale for that week only.

New Year's Resolution

I've never been one of those people who make New Year's Resolutions, but this year is a bit different.

Besides from making an effort to stay on top of daily cleaning so that my lovely apartment stays lovely, I need to continually look for the drive to keep on top of my business. I continually stay so shy and reserved with myself and my designs, but I've had some really wonderful success locally in the past several months and the hubby is always telling me what a wonderful designer I am. Perhaps if I really stick with it, hours each and every day, and don't doubt myself I can really go places.

And, on a sillier note, I'd like to get better at remembering to take photos of all my cute baking adventures and the like. Especially now that I got a beautiful Kitchenaid Artisan stand mixer for Christmas! I have baked a lot of things in the past few months that I wish I had gotten pictures of--like that delicious vanilla bean cheesecake with a shortbread crust.

Here's a chocolate pecan pie I made for Thanksgiving that I have neglected to share.

It didn't turn out exactly as I had hoped. I planned to do the entire crust with little leaf cutouts; however, I didn't begin making the pie until almost 1am and I wasn't quite in the mood to cut out a million little leaves by hand. I think the three leaf accents were pretty darling on their own. I would have done some cute crimping around the crust instead, but I had already cut off all the excess to make a base for the leaves and there wasn't much crust left to work with.

I had also made two delicious cinnamon streusel apple pies (the only apple pie recipe I'll use anymore), which I neglected to photograph. I'll be sure to share more baking photos and recipes in the future.

What are your New Year's Resolutions?
